Some quotes and audience responses:

College introduced me to your music. This gig tonight has made me fall in love; beautiful voices from beautiful women

You were hauntingly, professionally and amazingly awesome. Thank you so very much for show-casing your talent xxx loved, loved, loved! Claire R Potter

I arrived at the Crown Spa’s Consort Suite a little bit early, which was handy, as there was a good display of merchandise and band photos at the back which I was glad to have a look through before the gig began.
Raven stepped out from behind the curtains to find a completely packed venue – extra chairs were required to seat every avid audience member, and there was an almost palpable air of excitement.
Mixing five-part harmonies, co-ordinated arm movements, interesting lighting and a broad range of instruments, Raven soon created an intoxicating atmosphere.
They played a variety of songs from throughout their career, including two songs written especially for last years epic performance of Orpheus the Mariner. The combination of congas, keys, bass, guitar, accordion, ukelele and flutes was the perfect background for the group’s tight harmonies and tales of love and longing.
From the way they performed together, and the jokey nature of their chatter between songs, it was clear that Raven were well-practised and completely in-sync with one another.
Although it was perhaps not the sort of music I’d usually be drawn to, I’m very glad that I chose to see them – it was a captivating performance full of memorable songs.

Their sound is joyful & harmonious. There is salsa, blues, pop & rootsy folk fused together – simply ravishing. This sextet of vibrant women doing something they clearly love is irresistible Yorkshire Post Magazine

Congratulations girls on your outstanding performance tonight… you all gave 110% and it came across to the audience. You well deserved a standing ovation! Enjoy what you are doing… you have got it so right. I am so glad that I bought your CD… I am playing it now and it is great. I only wish I had bought the other two CD’s as well. Well! What can I say? You were all absolutely brilliant!!!
I’d just like to say thanks for your hard work over the weekend in promoting your concert, busking, making yourselves known, when on top of that you then played an absolute belter of a set. I’ve spoken to a number of the audience and have heard nothing but praise. You guys are absolute pro’s and will be held up as a superb example of how to make a fringe event work.
